By Juliano Oliveira

Incubators interested in investing in refugees and first-generation migrants start-up enterprises will find financial assistance on the entrepreneurs’ programme “Incubator Support Initiative”.

The project has been reshaped to better accommodate a new crop of applicants seeking to develop their capabilities and establish globally focussed start-ups.

The minimum grants are $13,000 reaching up to $250,000 for up to 2 years. Funding covers eligible project value of up to 65% in regional areas or up to 50% in major cities.

Applicants must submit an Expression of Interest to apply for a new and existing incubators grant opportunity.

The investor will be provided with assistance as advice, mentoring, specialist expertise and broker partnerships between start-up incubators and migrant and refugee organisations.

Since 2016, almost $23 million in funding has helped more than 140 projects create job and growth opportunities across Australia.

More information can be acessed on the Incubator Support Initiative page.
