To enhance public safety and support the community in an emergency, the Council of Gold Coast have installed 14 accessible defibrillators in city facilities.
Having immediate access to a defibrillator can increase the likelihood of survival for people experiencing cardiac arrest.
An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is a small portable device which delivers an electrical shock to a person’s heart to restore rhythm, allowing blood and oxygen to flow to the heart, brain and body.
